H088S - Europa Stamp 2010 - Children's books - Single stamp from H88 - Self-adhesive

The theme of the Europa stamps is children‘s books. The stamp motifs are based on two Icelandic children‘s books: “The Fate of the Gods“ and “Good Evening“. The former book was published in 2008 and deals with Nordic Mythology. The main legends of Nordic gods and godesses are retold and adapted to children. The author is Ingunn Ásdísardóttir while Kristín Ragna Gunnarsdóttir illustrated the book and designed the cover.
