630D - Icelandic Contemporary Design VII - Ceramics - The designer team Borðið - Self-adhesive

Ceramics design is the theme of the seventh stamp series dedicated to contemporary Icelandic design. The designer team Borðið (The Table) designed “Leirpottur“ (Clay Pot) using Icelandic clay. The team consists of Brynhildur Pálsdóttir, Guðfinna Mjöll Magnúsdóttir and the clay factory Leir 7 owned by Sigríður Erla Guðmundsdóttir. Sigríður Erla graduated from the ceramics department of the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in 1990. Brynhildur graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2004 and from Gerrit Rietveld Academy 2005. Guðfinna Mjöll Magnúsdóttir graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2004.
