Ceramics design is the theme of the seventh stamp series dedicated to contemporary Icelandic design. Ólöf Erla Bjarnadóttir designed the work Jarðlög (Sediments). Ólöf Erla graduated from the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in 1982. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions with other artists. Ólöf has received various awards for her art. Along with nine other artists she runs the shop Kirsuberjatréð (the Cherry Tree) in Reykjavík.
